Meet Attorney Tracie M. Shelby

 

Tracie M. Shelby is a lifelong Democrat running for Judge of the 298th Civil District Court in Dallas County, Texas. She is a licensed attorney with more than 24 years of experience and currently serves as Principal of The Shelby Law Firm, P.C., where she has successfully litigated to trial a wide range of cases in State and Federal Court as well as handled an array of transactional matters in Dallas, Texas, since 2011.

Tracie M. Shelby is a seasoned, highly qualified judicial candidate who stands for Fairness, Justice and Equality for ALL.

She has…

  • extensive experience in multiple areas of civil law including, but not limited to, personal injury, medical malpractice, real estate, foreclosure, construction, contracts, torts, bankruptcy, employment discrimination, wrongful termination, and defamation;

  • served as a judicial law clerk for two Federal District Court Judges;

  • a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, a Master of Laws in Securities and Financial Regulation from the Georgetown University Law Center, a Juris Doctorate from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Studies from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock; and

  • experience in Mergers and Acquisitions, Private Equity, taking Real Estate Investment Trust companies (REITs) from public to private and acquiring portfolios of real estate properties and mortgage loans.
